It is hard to believe the ideas that are coming out of the mouths of the liberal candidates for president. Who in his right mind would want to give a tax rebate to illegal aliens? They are here illegally so they want to reward them from breaking immigration laws? Their health plans are nothing but social medicine and will destroy the free market of medical care. I read a riveting article, that was in Hillsdale College's newsletter called Imprimis, by Mark Steyn. I encourage everyone to get your hands on a copy of this article and consume it. You see, he is a Canadian citizen and understands the ins and outs of every level of his government. He takes item by item and compares America with Canada and the result is a chilling warning that the liberals are trying to lead us in the same direction.
It lays out the unions that are in Canada. Did you know that they are hugely unionized, to the point of insanity. They have a homeless union, and they can 'walk off the job' in protest??? They have a union for showgirls, strippers, as well. They claim to have created 56,100 new jobs in just one month. Here is where the jobs came from: 4,200 came from those who are self-employed, 8,500 came from private industry and the remainder from the government payroll. Productivity is dismal since the unions now control almost everything. 77% are being paid for by the small percentage of citizens who pay a huge tax bill and get little in return.
The health care issue is staggering. The citizens wait six months for an MRI, a year for a hip joint replacement and ten months for maternity. Say what?
Because of all the restrictions, the birth rate is only 1.5 children per couple, while USA is 2.1. Canada is depending on immigrants to keep the population stable. This could be a huge problem as time moves on.
Is this the kind of America that you and I want? I am sure we do not! It is imperative that every conservative take the time to vote for conservative candidates.
