The media and liberal politicians would have us believe that Christians are to just be invisible and leave the political process to the ungodly. Nothing could be further from the truth. Pastors played a huge role in early American politics. Today, tens of thousands of Christians, who are eligible to vote, do just what these manipulative people tell them to do. They stay at home and let evil take its course. Note what our founding fathers had to say about this topic.
“When the righteous rule , the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.”
Supreme Court Justice and one-time governor of New Jersey William Paterson quoting the words of Proverbs 29:2 (1745-1806)
“Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers, and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian nation, to select and prefer Christians for their rulers.” First U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Jay (1745-1829)
“Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that he is not making a present or a compliment to please an individual – or at least that he ought not so to do; but that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country.”
Samuel Adams Signer of the Declaration of Independence (1722-1803)
“The time has come that Christians must vote for honest men and take consistent ground in politics or the Lord will curse them. …God cannot sustain this free and blessed country which we love and pray for unless the Church will take right ground.”
Charles Finney, American evangelist, theologian and author (1792-1875)
No separation of church and state in any of these because it doesn't exist in our Constitution! If you are not registered to vote go out and do it. The future of your nation depends on you taking the time to vote for godly candidates.
