Be Grateful That You Don't Live In England

I took the opportunity to find out how much gas is selling for in England and found that it is now $6.62 per gallon. They stated that it costs $125.00 to fill your tank. When I was stationed in England in the late 60's, it sold for about $2.40 a gallon. This makes the $3.69 price seem much almost reasonable doesn't it? Isn't it time for Americans to demand that our "Greenie" leaders stop the insanity and take immediate steps to develop oil fields that lie right in our own land, build nuclear power plants, develop clean ways to burn coal which is so abundant and then tag on wind farms etc.

Do we really want to see gas prices go to Europe's prices? If we do, get out the old bicycle and start pedaling. Green is a nice color but this is getting downright stupid!
