Islam's False Claim

"The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your countrymen, you shall listen to him."  Deuteronomy 18:15

Moses, in his farewell address to Israel before he died, said the words in the verse just posted. Mohammad, the founder of the Muslim religion, claimed that the prophesy of Moses spoke of him. Well folks, this is quite impossible if we just look carefully at the verse in question.

First, "from among you," second, "from your countrymen," are impossible to misinterpret, even though Mohammad tried to do just that. Moses made it clear that he spoke of a JEW who would be his replacement. We find clear instruction in the New Testament as to who Moses spoke.

"And now, brethren, I know that you acted in ignorance, just as your rulers did also.  But the things which God announced beforehand by the mouth of all the prophets, that His Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled.  Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord; and that He may send Jesus, the Christ appointed for you, whom heaven must receive until the period of restoration of all things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time. Moses said, 'The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brethren; to Him you shall give heed to everything He says to you.' And it will be that every soul that does not heed that prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.  And likewise, all the prophets who have spoken, from Samuel and his successors onward, also announced these days.  It is you who are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant which God made with your fathers, saying to Abraham, 'And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.'  For you first, God raised up His Servant and sent Him to bless you by turning every one of you from your wicked ways."      Acts 3:17-26   (Acts chapter seven makes it equally clear that Jesus/Yeshua was the One Moses meant.)

Any time you hear anyone make the claim that the Bible is full of errors you need to ask the question, "Where are they?" This is usually a means of covering up their own errors and trying to discredit the Bible which has proved its veracity over the centuries. "Show me the errors," is my challenge to Islam, Mormonism and others who make this claim regularly. I have studied the Bible in its original languages for over thirty years and I have yet to run into an issue that cannot be resolved by going back to the original texts. The Bible is a book of books that you can hang your eternal soul on and sleep peacefully at night. Jesus Christ/Yeshua HaMashiach is the ONLY Savior and He alone died on the cross to pay for the penalty of the sins of all people. His work was done almost two thousand years ago and He now waits for each human being to choose to believe that He did it for them. He stands ready to forgive you of all your sins because He was punished in your place when He died on the cross. He leaves only one sin that He could not die for, your sin of unbelief. You alone can make this choice. If you choose to believe in Him, then He will forgive you, but if you choose to reject Him you stand condemned in your sins because you refused to believe in Him.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God." John 3:16-21

"He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."  John 3:36

It is totally your choice. Choose life and see for yourself what God will do in your life today.
