Out of the estimated 400,000 pastors in the USA, I wonder how many are even remotely concerned with America's condition. The most of these pastors have fallen prey to political correctness and have forsaken the Bible as their ultimate authority. Whole denominations have caved in to the homosexual agenda and have even gone so far as ordaining gays and lesbians to the pulpit ministry of churches. The Bible, need I remind you, says that this is an abomination to God and you have cut yourself off from His protection and blessing. All we have to do is look to the Old Testament to confirm what happened to Israel when they condoned this sexual perversion.
Also, I wonder how many preachers ever preach a sermon dealing with abortion, homosexuality or adultery. Most have taken the lead of 'popular' preachers by avoiding these subjects altogether. There are certain buzz words that these pastors avoid like the plague. A short list would include: homosexuality, abortion, hell, judgment of sinners, repentance from sin, accountability for our behaviors, consequences for our choices, sins such as lying, stealing, profanity, pornography, lust, greed, glutany and the list could go on and on. Why are preachers avoiding these topics? Well, the Bible explains this clearly. It is about gaining and keeping a crowd so that the preacher becomes famous and gains the praise of men rather than God. Note the following passage.
"I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths. But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry." 2 Timothy 4:1-5
Far too many preachers today are choosing to leave their congregations in ignorance rather than equipping them as a spiritual army. Is it any wonder that these 'liberal' denominations are loosing people by the thousands? It takes guts to teach the whole Bible since it deals with every issue that life can hurl at people. This last election failure can be laid at the feet of these 'soft' preachers since they would not even allow their congregations the privilege of seeing a voter's guide to assist them in examining the voting records of the candidates. Shame on you who are too spineless to stand up to the forces of evil and equip your church to defeat it head on.
Pastor G. Campbell Morgan once said of the church, "It is not the task of the church to catch the spirit of the age, IT IS TO CORRECT IT!" Far too few pastors are on the firing line in the war against America. I thank God for those who are standing tall and taking the heat from the enemy. You are true patriots! Those who will not stand up are like the proverbial 'frog in the kettle.' They are just going through the motions of 'doing church' while the nation around them is going to hell in a hand basket. Take note of what happened to the church when the pastors in Germany fell into line with Adolph Hitler before and during WWII. Only a few pastors stood up against the evil and were arrested and most were killed. After the war the weasels wanted to reunite with the pastors who endured the long struggle and found themselves outcasts. Cowards usually want to regain their place after a disaster but few ever find restoration. Like those who fled to Canada during the Vietnam War and then sought amnesty after the war was over. They live with shame for the rest of their lives every time someone mentions the brave men and women who did go to war.
The thing is that your congregation knows that you are being a wimp; you are the only one who is unaware of your plight. Are people exiting your church weekly? It is usually that they are looking for a preacher who stands and delivers without compromise. We are experiencing what the Prophet Amos prophesied.
"Behold, days are coming," declares the Lord God, "When I will send a famine on the land, not a famine for bread or a thirst for water, but rather for hearing the words of the Lord. People will stagger from sea to sea and from the north even to the east; they will go to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, but they will not find it." Amos 8:11-12
Millions of Americans are craving the truth but most will not find it since so few pastors are willing to take the heat from the enemy. The following is what should be happening in the heart of every God fearing preacher in America and the world today.
"My soul, my soul! I am in anguish! Oh, my heart! My heart is pounding in me; I cannot be silent, because you have heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war. Disaster on disaster is proclaimed, for the whole land is devastated; suddenly my tents are devastated, my curtains in an instant. How long must I see the standard and hear the sound of the trumpet? For My people are foolish, they know Me not; they are stupid children and have no understanding. They are shrewd to do evil, but to do good they do not know." Jeremiah 4:19-22
Final thought. Whose responsibility is it to correct the foolish, stupid and ignorant ideas of 'children?' TEACHERS! All children are ignorant until someone teaches them. It is the RESPONSIBILITY of pastors to TEACH and EQUIP the people so that they will be wise and act intelligently. America could be turned around in a month IF preachers would only realize that they are failing the very people they claim to serve. Wake up pastor; you are the change agent that America needs. We have drifted too far for politics or politicians to fix the disaster we now face. Only the CHURCH, by the power and grace of God can fix this mess. We MUST experience a spiritual revival and then a Third Great Awakening in America or I greatly fear that we will lose the cherished freedoms that we have enjoyed for over two hundred years. Our leaders are openly pushing us into Socialism. Sadly, too many Americans have been deceived into believing that Socialism is a good thing. IT IS JUST AS EVIL AS THE DEVIL HIMSELF AND MUST BE DEFEATED. There is NO freedom in Socialism! The state dominates the lives of every citizen and freedom becomes only a memory for those who once knew it. Wake up America, there is a dark cloud engulfing our nation. It is time to seek the face of God and cry out for deliverance as did ancient Israel.
Please send this to every pastor you know. Many will hate me for telling the truth, but those who have a tender heart for the things of God will realize that they have been led astray by those mega pastors who refuse to stand up for the truth. May God have mercy on us all!
