"Although our iniquities testify against us, O Lord, act for Your name's sake! Truly our apostasies have been many, we have sinned against You. O Hope of Israel, its Savior in time of distress, why are You like a stranger in the land or like a traveler who has pitched his tent for the night? Why are You like a man dismayed, like a mighty man who cannot save? Yet You are in our midst, O Lord, and we are called by Your name; do not forsake us!
Thus says the Lord to this people, 'Even so they have loved to wander; they have not kept their feet in check. Therefore the Lord does not accept them; now He will remember their iniquity and call their sins to account.'
So the Lord said to me, 'Do not pray for the welfare of this people. When they fast, I am not going to listen to their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and grain offering, I am not going to accept them. Rather I am going to make an end of them by the sword, famine and pestilence." Jeremiah 14:7-12
"But, 'Ah, Lord God!' I said, 'Look, the prophets are telling them, "You will not see the sword nor will you have famine, but I will give you lasting peace in this place." ' Then the Lord said to me, "The prophets are prophesying falsehood in My name. I have neither sent them nor commanded them nor spoken to them; they are prophesying to you a false vision, divination, futility and the deception of their own minds." Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who are prophesying in My name, although it was not I who sent them -- yet they keep saying, 'There will be no sword or famine in this land' -- by sword and famine those prophets shall meet their end!" Jeremiah 14:13-15
How tragic when a nation, who claims God as their Lord, abandons Him and His patience comes to an end. America is very near this place. Feel Good preaching has spread through churches like wildfire and has weakened the church and made it vulnerable to temptation. The repentance needs to start with the abandonment clergy of America first.
Two things will bring God's judgment on a nation, in particular. God's messengers have become like the prophets who preach 'peace and safety,' and have ignored these two issues almost totally.
1. Killing the innocent: i.e. shedding innocent blood. Since Roe v. Wade, bortion has murdered 50,000,000 unborn, innocent babies in America, and we continue to kill them at the rate of 4,000 per day. That is about 1.4 million per year. Worldwide, 42,000,000 abortions are performed per year and 115,000 per day. The whole world is guilty of shedding innocent blood and God's patience is wearing thin.
2. When a nation becomes saturated with sexual immorality and sexual perversion. Today, America has become a very immoral place. Millions have rejected marriage and choose to shack up together. In the black community, three quarters of children live in home without a father. The homosexual issue is the most serious of all. When any nation accepts homosexuality and promotes it as normal, the judgment of God is very near. America, through the help of Hollywood and the liberal media, have promoted and are still promoting, homosexuality as normal and are trying to force it on those who adamantly reject it on biblical grounds.
America is very close to God's judgment. If she does not repent and turn back to God, she will see drought turn into a true crisis situation. It won't be global warming that does it but God will bring it about. Many will choose to ignore God but He will have His way ultimately. I would like to make a prediction. If America's Christian church does not experience a revival and if America does not experience a Third Great Awakening, then we will see the biblical prediction of a one world government and religion take over our country. When God removes His hand of protection from a nation in rebellion, there is nothing we can do to stop the takeover of our land. Many enemies are salivating over us now. God has used godless nations to judge His people Israel before and America will not be spared either. It is time for all believers to get right with God and to engage in passionate prayer that our apostate churches will too repent and return to teaching the Bible rather than man's ideas and methods. God's patience is nearing the end. I feel that a revival of His people can still happen if we turn to Him in passionate prayer. It is our only hope. Mr. Obama cannot give us this hope. His hope has proven bogus to the core and he is leading our nation to its ultimate ruin if God does not intervene. Pray!
