The most common verse I hear quoted during an election is that God chose him or her so I have to support them. I do have to pray for them but I DO NOT have to support them. The verse that we SHOULD quote is the following.
"They have set up kings (or other officials), but NOT BY ME; they have appointed princes, but I did not know it." Hosea 8:4
You see, it is possible for a nation to select its leaders and God had nothing to do with it. Such was the election of the Socialists now in office across the nation but especially in DC. The only kings that were selected in Israel's history that had God's approval were when the people actually ASKED Him for His choice. The people of Israel desired to be like everybody else and they rebelled against God's ruler ship over them and asked God for a king. He gave them Saul and then David. Saul blew it royally and God removed him from office. He then chose David, a man after God's heart, but even David did not live a model life before Him. God punished David for his sinful choices but stayed with him to his death. Solomon was also a chosen one from God but after him things were a mixed bag. More evil kings sat on the throne than good ones. I cannot imagine going through a forty year rule with an evil king. They ultimately destroyed Israel with sinful choices and finally God corrected them by exiling them to Babylon, present day Iraq.
Will it take God's judgment on America to get us to turn away from our sins or will we do it voluntarily? We are at the edge of disaster right now and it is a desperate time of decision for the 304,000,000 people who live here. We must take control away from the radical Socialists and restore America to her godly foundations once again. Let's begin by turning to God in prayer and forsaking our own sins. Then, we must engage the evil on a face to face battle and we must defeat them. Let today be the first day of the rest of our national life by choosing to follow God over mankind.
Mr. Obama talks a good fight but his actions tell us that he is NOT a Christian, but most likely a closet Muslim. He always sides with the sinfully perverse side of the issue and always shows great honor to Muslims and throws Christians under the bus as he did his grandmother. In order to be a Christian you actually have to follow the commandments of Christ. He comes down exactly opposite on all issues from Jesus Christ. I have no confidence in him after all the disgraceful decisions that he has made in his ten months in office. I am still waiting for him to prove to us that he is a citizen of the USA. What is he trying to hide? If he is found to be a bogus president then all he had done so far would be bogus as well. Now there is a thought that I can hope for.
