CHICAGO - The presiding bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is suggesting that the Bible isn't the last word on homosexuality. In a town hall meeting Sunday, Bishop Mark Hanson said, "the understanding we have of homosexuality today does not seem to be reflected at all in the context of the biblical writers." Therefore, he said, Lutherans should consider more modern views on sexual orientation.
Bishop Hanson, you don't have a leg to stand on here. What we have is another closet homosexual clergyman who wants to make legal what God had declared illegal and immoral. I don't know your sexual orientation but I suspect that there is a hidden motive. I doubt very seriously that you have studied your Bible on this issue lately. You have been reading the same liberals who try to make today's homosexuality different from the instances in the Bible. IT CANNOT BE DONE SIR! Look to the Hebrew and Greek if you have the ability to use it. You know, you might be able to find a job with Planned Parenthood along with Rev. Veazey. This way the two of you can compare notes on how best to pervert Scripture. Remember the warning from God on adding to or taking away from Scripture that He will also remove your name from the book of life if was ever there to begin with. I am glad to see the conservatives in your denomination pulling out. Pretty soon you will be left with just a hand full of liberals who support immorality like you do. I will pray for you, sir!
