America today is filled with liars, from those who tell a few lies to those who lie as a habit. Everyone from school students to our leaders have openly admitted that they lie on a regular basis. Are lies ok? Is it ok to lie in business, on examinations, on employment applications, on legislation, in court? Three lies have changed the way things are done in this nation. The first was Roe V. Wade, the second was Doe? V. Bolton and the third was the Separation of Church and State. All these cases were decisions before the highest court in the land, the Supreme Court. The abortion cases were both based on lies since neither woman actually wanted an abortion. The radical leftist lawyers took advantage of two confused women and pushed their abortion case to a successful decision based on outright lies. The other case happened before these two and literally changed the face of America. The ACLU and other leftists grabbed the opportunity to muzzle the Christian church by saying that there was a legal precedent stating that the state and church should be completely separate. THERE IS NO SUCH DOCUMENT IN ANY OF OUR FOUNDING DOCUMENTS!
These three cases should be fought again in the Supreme Court and overturned for lack of evidence. It seems that if a lie is told forcefully enough and over and over that it begins to get traction and ultimately is believed. It is a travesty when lies are put into law. The result of the two abortion lies is approximately fifty million unborn babies murdered and who knows the overall effect of the other lie. The ACLU has used the other lie over and over again to remove the Ten Commandments from public displays, silence pastors and churches and now to pass hate crimes legislation that will even more erode our freedom of speech.
These three cases are an abomination to common decency and they will each ultimately be reviewed on judgment day by the ultimate Supreme Court, God Himself! Anyone who uses lies to further their cause will face this Judge and will LOSE ultimately. Note the following passage of Scripture.
"But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." Revelation 21:8
"You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies." John 8:44
'The one who says, "I have come to know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him.' " 1 John 2:4-5
The greatest tragedy of all is that there are many open liars who actually think that they are Christians but are not. These verses make it clear that we are not to continue in sinful ways of doing things if we hope to go to heaven when we die. God is not naive in any way. He is omniscient which means He knows everything that is said, thought or done even before it happens. Many would do well to heed this warning since none of us knows when we will die. Those on the space shuttle that exploded had no time to get right with God before they died. In an instant they were gone. Many people die instantly in car crashes etc. every day and if they were not right with God they will face a painful eternity. Becoming a Christian means that God has changed our nature and we no longer want to sin but actually hate it.
Think on these things!
