"But realize this, that in he last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revelers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a FORM of godliness, although they have denied its power: AVOID such men as these." 2 Timothy 3:1-5
"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears FROM THE TRUTH and will turn aside to MYTHS." 2 Timothy 4:3-4
These verses could not more accurately describe the times in which we now live. It takes no explanation to see that these conditions are all around us. The brutal murder of six people and the wounding of the others is a perfect example of our times. There are those who have driven their cars into pre-schools and said the reason they did it was because there were INNOCENTS inside and wanted to kill them.
The brutal example of Muslim terrorism is also a perfect match.
If one listens to Rev. Wright, we do not hear love and brotherhood but hate. Television and movies today are filled with profanity and every form of sexual perversion. The FCC recently relaxed their rules on profanity and now, from what folks have told me since I have not watched TV for ten years, is filled with F bombs and every form of mindless language.
Has America gotten better or worse over the past ten, twenty or thirty years? This goes without saying, and if you say better then you are part of the demise of our nation.
May God have mercy on us and restore us to godliness lest we go the way of other great nations in the past. The Roman Empire imploded because of their acceptance of homosexuality and heterosexual perversion. Our land will follow suit if we do not turn back to God.
