33 retired Methodist clergy are urging the United Methodist Church to delete its ban on homosexual clergy, according to a recent report. Mr. Wesley would be furious to see what he began as a solid Bible teaching denomination turned into a politically correct abomination. This church, if you can call it that, has long since turned away from the Bible as its standard and made feelings and emotion its criteria.
If we look to history we can see that all nations who accepted homosexuality as normal went down the tubes and if now nothing more than a page in the history books.
I do not hate or dislike those in the homosexual community. I care very deeply about their self-destruction through this risky lifestyle. It is tragic that the average homosexual lives 20-30 years less than a heterosexual. I have seen a whole ward of AIDS patients in Uganda, Africa and all of them were so skinny that they resembled the victims of Nazi death camps. They also had TB as a result of a destroyed immune system. Those one night stands can put an individual in his or her death bed. Many S.T.Ds today are deadly and kill thousands each year. It is a sad day when we see our legislators trying to make this dangerous lifestyle normal and accepted. It is being taught in most schools today as normal, even in the lowest grades in elementary school.
When the church lowers its standards the whole society suffers. Mr. Kinsey in his lying report set the sexual revolution into place and the result has been destroyed lives in both the homosexual and heterosexual communities. There has never been any medical evidence that there is a GAY GENE. NONE! Yet, like those who cling to evolution, they believe and push a blatant lie to the American public with sad stories that evoke an emotional response so that we, as a whole, lower our values also.
What America needs today is a Third Great Awakening to restore the church to her foundational truths. The Church Growth movement has done more damage than good in presenting a SOFT gospel to congregations across the land. The so-called FEEL GOOD sermon has replaced the standard telling the whole truth in preaching today. It is time for preachers to ignore the challenging messages at conventions and seminars to NOT OFFEND anyone and get back to telling the whole truth to the whole man so that he or she can be wholly transformed by the power of Jesus Christ.
Here is exactly where we are today: "Behold, days are coming," declares the Lord GOD, "When I will send a famine on the land, not a famine for bread or a thirst for water, but rather for hearing the words of the LORD. People will stagger from sea to sea and from the north even to the east; they will go to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, BUT THEY WILL NOT FIND IT." (emphasis added)

There are still a few preachers who have the insight to avoid this trap and teach the WHOLE Bible to people. They tell people the TRUTH and the TRUTH sets them free from sin and lies.
