After six long weeks, Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) finally unveiled the Senate Majority's version of health care reform. But one look at the mammoth 2,074 page bill and most agree: the legislation was hardly worth waiting for. In a small concession to social conservatives--and parents--the Senate version of reform does revisit Title V abstinence funding, which President Obama completely dropped from his 2010 budget. Although this bill wouldn't restore the money to Bush-era levels, it would give a surprise boost to an abstinence movement that was abandoned by Congress earlier this year. Unfortunately, even that good news isn't great, since Title V dollars will be balanced with a push for "comprehensive" sex-ed as well. As for the other spending, Sen. Reid was careful to keep the price tag below $900 billion--but he had to use some clever accounting tricks to do it. He claims the plan's bottom line is $848 billion, but he neglects to mention that it delays most of the spending until 2014. From there, the actual costs skyrocket to $2.5 trillion over the first 10 years of full implementation (2014-2023). Here are some other tidbits that may test your blood pressure:

• Taxes: Under the Senate bill, U.S. taxes will increase by $493.6 billion --almost a half-trillion dollars!
• Government-takeover Option: Although he shrewdly renamed the public option, Sen. Reid did stand by his promise to include it. His " Community Health Insurance Option" would allow states to opt-out of participating in government-run health care, but they would still be expected to pay for portions of it.
• Employer Mandates: Sen. Reid's bill would impose $28 billion in new taxes on employers that don't provide government-approved health plans. The new taxes would ultimately be passed on to American workers in the form of reduced wages or lost jobs.
• Marriage Penalty: To punish married taxpayers, the Senate plan would inflict an additional 0.5% payroll tax on married couples making more than $250,000 a year in wages. Cohabiting couples, on the other hand, are free to make $200,000 each before getting slammed by the same tax.
• Number of Uninsured: Five million Americans would lose their employer coverage under this plan.
• Taxpayer-Funded Abortion: IT'S IN THERE!

Setting up what Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) calls "a holy war," the Stupak-Pitts language was entirely stripped from the liberal plan and replaced by the phony compromise first introduced by Rep. Lois Capps (D-Calif.) in the House. On pages 116-124, the legislation authorizes the Secretary of HHS to fund abortion in the public option, offers tax credits to private plans that cover abortion on demand, and abolishes conscience protections for health providers who refuse to perform abortions. It even goes so far as to insist that a plan to cover abortion must be available in every U.S. District.

Sen. Mike Johanns (R-Nebr.) aired his frustration on the Senate floor this morning. "Now, supporters say don't worry, public funds, well, they would be segregated. They wouldn't be used for abortion. But this provides no solace whatsoever. It's impossible to segregate funds... Congressman Stupak and about 40 of his Democratic colleagues... stared the Speaker in the eye and they said... if it isn't pro-life, we're not there, and the Speaker had no choice but to put the Ellsworth amendment up for a vote. Over 40 courageous Congressmen stuck to their convictions and they made a difference. Today in the Senate, we don't need 40 Democrats to stand up for what's right. We need just one."

It looks like President Obama will do everything he can to keep that one senator from tearing down the wall between taxpayers and the bloody business of abortion. In an interview with Fox News yesterday, he said the Stupak amendment didn't "strike the right balance" between paying for abortion and "restrict[ing] women's choices." With all due respect, this isn't about striking a balance; it's about maintaining the status quo. And that status quo is that the federal government doesn't bankroll the abortion industry.

The gospel of Jesus Christ has been so watered down by those seeking their own fame and fortune that it is no longer recognizable. Compromise is rampant as pastors search for a new strategy to get and hold the large crowds so that empires may be built to their own glory. Wealth and fame have replaced God in the lives of many of today’s preachers. This has resulted in what is referred to by many as a ‘Feel Good Gospel.’ Only those passages that make the attenders feel good about themselves are used. Missing is the warning of eternal hell, repentance from sin, accountability, judgment, maturity, responsibility, obedience and a host of other like terms. I have been greatly grieved at hearing a steady diet of such messages over the past few years from most preachers that I have heard. I have not heard the word hell used in a number of years. I strongly urge my readers to look up a great preacher from the Second Great Awakening in America, Charles Finney, and read his sermon entitled: “Preaching So As To Convert Nobody.” In this he lists 67 things to do so that you won’t offend your listeners, but also assure that they will not become Christians.

In Scripture we see John the Baptist rebuking King Herod for having his brother Philip’s wife and it cost him his head. All who stand against tyrants risk being imprisoned or killed for their stand.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer denounced the church’s failure to speak out against the evil. In 1940 that lonely voice of truth proclaimed,

 “We, the Church, must confess that we have not proclaimed often or clearly enough the message of the one God, who has revealed Himself for all time in Christ Jesus and Who will tolerate no other gods beside Himself. She must confess her timidity, her cowardice, her evasiveness and her dangerous concessions. She was silent when she should have cried out, because the blood of the innocent was crying aloud to heaven. The Church must confess that she has witnessed the lawless application of brutal force, the physical and spiritual suffering of countless innocent people, oppression, hatred, and murder, and that she has not raised her voice on behalf of the victims and has not found ways to hasten to their aid. The Church is guilty of the deaths of the weakest and most defenseless brothers of Jesus Christ. The Church must confess that she has desired security and peace, quiet, possessions and honor, to which she has no right. She has not borne witness to the truth of God. And by her silence, she has rendered herself guilty because of her unwillingness to suffer for what she knows to be right.”

Today, the blood of fifty million aborted babies cries out to God and very few pastors will dare mention it from their pulpits for fear that it might offend someone in the congregation who has killed their unborn baby. This is murder and should be noted as such. Thankfully, God will forgive even murder if we confess it and forsake it. I have known women in churches who have had multiple abortions and think that they have done nothing wrong.

Today in America only a hand full of heroes stand boldly in their pulpits to proclaim that “God is my President!” Many voices within the Christian church cry out this message of compromise and charge these heroes with being out of fellowship with God because of their bold stand against evil. These preachers hide in the walls of their church buildings and pretend that all is well in America, while outside America is in grave danger of being taken over by Socialism. This is not an idle threat, daily our elected and dominating leaders are moving America into this hellish ideology. The government is seeking to take over the nation’s most powerful assets and the latest is our health care system. This entity represents one sixth of our GDP/gross domestic product and is in the crosshairs of Mr. Obama and his cronies. Slander should never be a part of our rhetoric but truth should never cease to be at the center of it. The liberals have used Political Correctness to silence the church and it has done a great job of doing this. The multiplied millions of Christians and other religious and moral citizens sit silently by while evil moves in to Change America drastically. There is a groundswell of opposition that is on the move today but it MUST have the pulpits and the pastors/preachers of this nation to wake up this sleeping giant. Most refuse to get involved, much like the people who stood by and did nothing as they watched a girl gang raped in New York recently.

The liberals/Socialists are in a mode of open corruption and blatant lying to the American public and they don't give a rip what we think about it. HOW LONG WILL WE PUT UP WITH THIS INSANITY? Our Socialist congress is again ready to force a vote on a 2,000 plus page of hatred for our nation. How could we have ever imagined all of this happening? We have seen insane bills and behaviors before but this is a DAILY dose of insanity. As I write this, money is being channeled to NON EXISTENT districts from the stimulus bailout. Who is getting this money? ACORN? The Chicago political machine? In the hidden bank accounts of these liberal congress people?

All freedom loving Americans have to be livid over this trash! Our guns, our faith, our tax dollars, our medical decisions, our economy, our national businesses and our very way of life are in the crosshairs of this bunch of crazies. These are the same hippies of the 60's who hated our troops who fought in Vietnam, who staged huge protests on college campuses and chose to burn their bras and smoke dope and have sex orgies rather than defend our nation agianst Communism. Many cowards ran to Canada rather than fight with other brave Americans. These are the Jane Fondas, the John Kerrys and  the Clintons who sold out our troops to the Commies. Just like the liberals today who accused our troops of hideous acts againts Iraqi citizens, their breed is still active in destroying our way of life. Very few of them ever wore the uniform of this nation! Now they are attempting a takeover of this nation from within our government.

This latest health bill will cost us 2.5 trillion dollars over the next ten years and it has very little to do with covering people with health insurance. They want to dominate the lives of all 305,000,000 Americans. This is the most blatant, in our faces takeover of our capitalism with Socialism.

IT IS TIME for all of us to let the alphabet networks know that we will cease to watch them as of five o'clock TODAY! They MUST be put out of business, folks! They are no better than Adolph Hitler's agents of propaganda in the 1930's and 40's. We saw a classic example at CNN last week when Lou Dobbs resigned because he would not tow the line of their Obama agenda.

Well, there you have it. Many in the church today have turned into preachers of socialism, saying that all are to be equally treated regardless of whether or not they are willing to work for a living. It is not biblical! God expects able bodied people to work for a living and not wait for hard working people to feed, clothe, educate and house them.

A fleeing Taliban, desperate for water, was plodding through the Afghanistan desert when he saw something far off in the distance.
Hoping to find water, he hurried toward the object, only to find a little old Jewish man at a small stand selling ties.

The Taliban asked: 'Do you have water?'

 The Jewish man replied: 'I have no water. Would you like to buy a tie?   They are only US $5 ....'

The Taliban shouted: 'Idiot! I do not need an over-priced tie.  I need water! I should kill you, but I must find water first!'

 'OK,' said the old Jewish man, 'it does not matter that you do not want to buy a tie and that you hate me.'I will show you that I am bigger than that. If you continue over that hill to the east for about two miles, you will find a lovely restaurant.

'It has all the ice cold water you need. Shalom.'

 Muttering, the Taliban staggered away over the hill. 

Several hours later he returns half crawling, half staggering, almost dead.

The results highlight the battle that has been raging, first in the U.S. House and now in the Senate, over inclusion of abortion funding in health-care reform.

Pro-life members in the House were able to get an amendment passed banning federal funding of abortions. Word on Capitol Hill on Monday was that the amendment and the House version of health care were dead.

LIFE DIGEST: Charge urged in Hasan’s killing of unborn child

The U.S. military should prosecute Army Maj. Nidal Hasan for 14 murders, not just 13, in the shooting rampage he conducted Nov. 5 at Fort Hood, Texas, the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) said.

Hasan has been charged in 13 deaths, but an additional charge should be added in the killing of the unborn child of Francheska Velez, who was three months pregnant when she was shot to death, ADF contended in a letter to the Staff Judge Advocate at Fort Hood. Under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, it is a crime to cause the death of a child in his mother’s womb.

“All murder victims – born and preborn – deserve equal justice,” ADF Senior Legal Counsel Steven Aden said in a written release. “Women who volunteer to protect our country deserve to know that the government will enforce the laws that protect their children.”

Velez, 21, returned early from a tour of duty in Iraq after learning she was pregnant. She was preparing to take maternity leave, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

President Obama has done his fair share of damage to the family, but it's the leaders that America didn't elect who are doing more. In the past nine months, the White House has systematically put radicals in power who are changing the face of our nation. The administration's latest plant is Chai Feldblum, who the President nominated to take the reins of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). For those of you who don't know, the EEOC acts as a referee on disputes about workplace discrimination. As a lesbian, Feldblum has been blunt about her agenda when these incidents involve homosexuals. She's talked extensively about revolutionizing social norms, which, by her definition, means that religious liberties take a backseat to "gay rights."
