AN OPEN LETTER TO CALIFORNIA PARENTS AND PASTORS:
Why an Exodus From California Public Schools Now?
Governor Schwarzenegger recently signed a package of public school legislation that represents a complete reversal of 2,000 years of Christian moral teaching on human sexuality, family, and marriage. This is to be accomplished by using the California public school system to indoctrinate children to accept homosexual and other sexually deviant lifestyles as normal and morally acceptable, beginning as early as pre-kindergarten and continuing as long they are in California's public schools.
Seeing The Problem:
Let us take you to visit a classroom where you can see the type of instruction that SB 777 is likely to inflict on California's elementary school children. As you watch, notice how the children's attitudes and values are being manipulated and how the children respond. Now, this form of child endangerment and abuse is mandated throughout California's public schools.
The Impact on Christian Children And Families (And The Churches):
Christians have already become numb to the moral relativism that is taught in all public schools today. Now children will be systematically misled into the false belief that their sexual orientation and gender are relative, too. No longer will children raised in these schools understand that God made us male and female with different, but complementary roles.
Instead, children will be taught relentlessly that sexual orientation and gender are a matter of personal choice and that there are many sexual orientation and gender identity possibilities. Along with these falsehoods, children will be taught that they have to reach their own conclusions about "what is right for them" regarding sexual orientation and gender. Moreover, children are likely to receive the message that "you really can't tell whether you like something unless you have tried it." We don't need to detail for you the likely consequences of this for children, the institution of the family, our churches, or our culture. In addition, by mainstreaming the homosexual and other deviant lifestyles, the new schools legislation makes it inevitable that more students are going to become trapped in those lifestyles. Therefore, more students are likely to eventually contract AIDS, anal cancer, syphilis, and other sexually transmitted diseases, as well as become substance abusers and alcoholics at higher rates than they otherwise would.
For these reasons, we believe that no child should be educated in California's public schools because no child should be subjected to these physical, moral, and spiritual risks. The fringe left and homosexual and other sexual deviant activists have hijacked the California public schools with Governor Schwarzenegger's cooperation. Consequently, we urge California parents to rescue their children from the California public school system by removing them immediately and providing them with a Christian education in a Christian school, homeschool, or other alternative to the California public schools.

Many of us who support California Exodus' call to rescue Christian children from the California public school system have long worked to reform public schools. Others among us have principled objections to the public school system. Nevertheless, despite the differences we have had in the past regarding the public school system in general, all of us now believe that the California public school system has become so toxic and dangerous for children that Christians and churches must try to rescue California's children .
What Parents and Families Need To Do!
We strongly recommend that parents with children in the California public schools remove their children from those schools as soon as possible. Parents, grandparents, uncles, and aunts should be working together as a family to provide the family's children with an educational alternative to California public schools.
A Challenge for California Churches and Pastors: (How You Can Be Involved)
We also urgently ask pastors and churches to help families rescue their children from the California public schools and to make this a top priority of ministry. California's churches have many talented members and also buildings that are largely unused during the week. When these church resources are combined with the new educational technologies and Christian curricula that are now available, any church can, without significant financial investment or risk, provide an affordable, highly effective Christian education alternative to the California public school system.
A Challenge to the Christian Employees of the California School System
Every Christian employee of the California public schools must understand that the new school legislation requires all school employees, and particularly teachers an administrators, to collaborate in the spiritual and psychological molestation of children mandated by SB 777 and related legislation. Every school employee needs to ask himself or herself whether he can remain in such a system.
California Exodus: The Challenge and The Solution!
Every parent, pastor and church in California should ask, "Can we stand idly by as our impressionable children and grandchildren are led down the path of destruction?" If we, as the Body of Christ, are not willing to stand to protect God's children, who will?
