Religion in America is rapidly coming to a parting of the way when it comes to truth. Jimmy Carter seems to think that since he was once president that he has the power to correct God on certain issues. In a quote concerning a new Baptist denomination, New Baptist Convention, he said the following. "We can disagree on the death penalty, we can disagree on homosexuality, we can disagree on the status of women and still bind our hearts together in a common, united, generous, friendly, loving commitment."

 

The group of 14,000 attendees entered into a "Celebration of a New Baptist Covenant." I wonder just where they found the foundation for this NEW covenant. Did it come from the Bible or from man's opinions? 

The next tell tell sign is the acceptance of a woman pastor, Rev. Julie Pennington-Russell of First Baptist Church in Decatur, Ga. The Bible is very clear on this issue. Women can perform a multitude of ministries in the church, but being the senior pastor is not allowed. The Bible does not seem to enter into the thinking of many today, opinion seems to override the ultimate authority on all things Christian. Even authors seem to have a lot of clout.  Author John Grisham, who claims to be a Baptist, condemns the literal interpretation of Scripture, saying it led to exclusionary practices that weakened churches. How can truth weaken anything? Truth is not one's opinion but an absolute! How else would one translate the Bible? The Constitution is to be literally translated, the laws of the land are to be literally translated and a host of other such documents. How is it that man thinks that he can interpret the Bible any differently? This is nothing more than man's arrogance and rebelion against God and His word!

The speakers at the convention were quick to urge the attendees to respect church and state separation when advocating for public policies. How can the church RESPECT something that doesn't exist? NO PLACE in the Constitution do these words appear! And why should the church respect something that is falsified to keep the church from exercising its freedom of speech. You see, the church is not an organization nor a building, it is individual Christians uniting together as a body. Those individuals have the same freedoms as do the rest of American citizens.

Mr. Carter seems to forget that God is PRO-LIFE and against sexual perversion. One does not have to read far to discover this. You see, God created man in love and His greatest desire is that man would simply obey what a loving Father wants for His creation.  Perversion in all forms brings death and destruction to His creation. AIDS, flesh eating bacteria, abortion, adultery, lies, thieving, rape, murder and a ton of other self-destructive practices are wrecking what God meant to be good for man. Carter and the New Baptists, along with every other mainline denomination which has caved in on these critical issues, are all in open rebelion against God and will not help people but in the end lead to further ruin.

The Bible actually predicts this very attitude. Apostasy means the falling away from established truth in favor of a man made and false "truth." Note the following verses.

... then  how did it make the Bald Eagle? Just think of how complex this bird of prey is with the amazing "eagle eye" and then realize that there is no possible way that evolution could have make the first cell on its own. This leaves only one possibility, the Master Designer made him, and millions of other birds and animals, each uniquely made for its particular environment. Even lice, maggots, worms, butterflies and woodpeckers are made uniquely and suited to the purposes of God. Ain't creation amazing?

"There are six things which the LORD hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that run rapidly to evil, a false witness who utters lies, and one who spreads strife among brothers."      Proverbs 6:16-19

This passage alone covers a multitude of sin. When was the last time you heard a message on these topics or the Seven Deadly Sins? There are still many pastors who have not caved in but it seems that they are few and far between, according to reports that I regularly get and from personal experience. My passion comes from being a pastor for over thirty years myself and having to learn the lesson and get back to teaching ALL the Bible.

His Son came to take our sins on Himself when He died on the cross. Even Larry King, while interviewing Joel Ostein, called his gospel a "cotton candy gospel," and so it is. There is NO salvation without repentance from sin. This means to turn 180 degrees from the lifestyle we had before we came to Christ for salvation and walk in a new life of obedience to His commands. Today's gospel seems to be one that never mentions the following words: sin, judgment, repentance, obedience, consequences, hell, condemnation, the killing of innocent life, sexual perversion (many are ordaining perversion into ministry, hetero and homo) and this has shown up in huge numbers of children being molested by these so-called ministers. Where is the outcry from those offended? Children's lives are ruined and they just move them to a new church to do the same things to other innocent children, while the "church" pays out huge sums of money to "settle" out of court. God weeps at these abominations! The list of words and Scriptures left out of their preaching could fill many books. Note one of those passages that will never be used from their pulpits.

I find it flat out tragic when I look at the world today and see multitudes of religions, most of which enslave the members who hold to it. Idolatry is rampant with folks worshiping statues, rocks, man, or any number of other created things. God never meant for His creation to be dominated by other men, yet as we look at human history, we see billions of human lives sacrificed on the egos of arrogant, wimpy men and women. Wars are started, most of the time, by ego maniacs who merely want to send their people to war to conquer other peaceful people. Imperialism, out of Europe, can be held accountable for the deaths and enslavement of multiplied millions. Communism, Fascism, kings and dictators live in every age. If people would only realize that they outnumber these people they could fight their way to freedom.
Christianity is the ONLY religion that sets people free to live and worship according to their hearts. Yet, within the name of Christianity, there are many religions who have twisted the Bible to accomplish the domination of millions. True Christianity is the source of American freedom and the freedom of nations who follow the biblical model. All we have to do is to look at the founding documents to confirm this.

Today, those who distort the Bible to dominate people, practice the same evil things against mankind. It is the so-called common people who suffer most under these evil people.

First of all, God is NOT a man! The Bible makes it very clear that God is a spirit being, yet many today teach that He has a physical body. The only time that God became a man was when Jesus Christ, God the Son, was born into the world to take man's sin on Himself.

Secondly, God the Father DID NOT have sex with the virgin Mary to produce Jesus, as the following verses show.

Thirdly, God has NO other sons but Jesus who were born to Him and He has NO wives. I hasten to add that Mary is NOT the mother of God, she was the mother of Jesus' humanity. God has NO mother. Mary is NO place worshiped in the Bible. This is wholly a man made things and taken from paganism at that. Also, there is only ONE holy father, not the Pope.

Isaiah 43:10 "You are My witnesses," declares the LORD, "And My servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe Me And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, and there will be none after Me."

Isaiah 45:18 "For thus says the LORD, who created the heavens (He is the God who formed the earth and made it, He established it and did not create it a waste place, but formed it to be inhabited), "I am the LORD, and there is none else."

Isaiah 45:21 "Declare and set forth your case; indeed, let them consult together. Who has announced this from of old? Who has long since declared it? Is it not I, the LORD? And there is no other God besides Me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none except Me."

Isaiah 46:9 "Remember the former things long past, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me,

John 4:24 "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

Luke 1:35 "The angel answered and said to her, 'The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God."

John 3:16  "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."

John 3:18 "He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

1 John 4:9 "By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him."

John 5:18 "For this reason therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God."

It is totally clear that the God of the Bible is ONE God, yet in THREE persons within. 

Genesis 1:26  "Then God said, 'Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." It is abundantly clear when taken as a whole, the Bible ascribes the same attributes to all three members of the Godhead: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

When will mankind stop being led around by the nose by arrogant, evil men and women and simply open the Bible and read what if says for themselves? It is a matter of where mankind will spend eternity! Life in heaven or eternal punishment in Hell without ever dying.
Slavery was abolished many years ago, yet Islam still holds slaves of people who refused to convert to their twisted religion. In order for man to get away with lies and slavery they must try and distort the Bible by claiming that it is wrong about things. Note that they never say WHERE it is wrong, just a sweeping claim that it is wrong. It is NOT wrong in any way. It has been tested for centuries and NEVER proved wrong in anything. Archaeology, secular history, manuscript consistency and a host of other check points all back up the Bible without question.  Check it out for yourself.
